It’s not easy…

Working on a project that involves concept development is an amazing experience and, even after all these years, feels like a privilege. But for something to come together successfully it needs careful choreography.

The road can be little rocky. What seems like a simple process is often far from it. There may be a number of good ideas, each promoted by a person or group with good reason, and promoted with passion. The consultant team also bring our own years of national and international experience, and an understanding of what the opportunity might include. We work through these ideas, sorting, analysing, evaluating, testing and selecting. Then there will be an intense scrutiny by the client and stakeholders, and choices are weighed up again.

Even when people know each other, and have worked together or lived in a region for a long time, tensions arise. Late changes might be made and people, heavily invested, have to work through it and again revise and retest. You need to know when to fight in your corner, and when to back off in order to develop a strong concept which reflects this rigorous process.

It will emerge better, stronger and with the backing it needs for its ultimate success.
